Joe completed his Optometry degree at QIT in 1986 and has worked in practices in South-East Queensland and the United Kingdom.
In this time, Joe furthered his studies in London to gain UK registration. He later worked in Liverpool, Lancashire and Cumbria where he enjoyed the challenge of understanding the local accents and vice versa. Whilst living and working in Europe, Joe appreciated first hand the European styling and lifestyle, and today he works hard to bring this flavour to Brisbane at Optical FX.
“Working in busy practices gave me invaluable experience in eye testing, listening to people’s needs, prescribing exactly what they wanted and problem solving”, says Joe.
Upon returning to Australia, Joe worked in his own practices at Spring Hill and Aspley where he built up a loyal following through his dedicated, professional and personal care.
“At Optical FX, I enjoy caring for the vision needs of city workers and residents. I am particularly interested in troubleshooting difficult spectacle prescriptions, fitting contact lenses and co-managing patients for Lasik surgery,” says Joe.
