Optical FX optometrist Joe Maccarone delivers one of the most comprehensive eye examinations in town, courtesy of the latest in equipment and technology and his experience and dedication to his patient’s eye health.
When you book a consultation with Joe, he will check the health of your eyes and test how clearly you are seeing. This non-invasive test takes about 30 minutes and is bulk-billed to Medicare where possible.
The health check covers common eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Signs of diabetes and high blood pressure can also be detected by an eye examination.
Your Eye Health is Important to Us
At Optical FX we use digital retinal imaging to photograph the back of your eyes (retina) for a nominal fee. This is the best way to compare and monitor any changes that may occur on the retina. We give you a copy of the photo for your own interest and can also email photos to your family doctor if needed. This great technology lets you see your own eyes with your own eyes!
Depending on the outcome of your eye test, Joe will advise if glasses are required. Otherwise you will simply leave Optical FX confident that your vision checks are up-to-date.
To monitor your eye health – whether you wear glasses or not – it’s recommended to have eye examinations every two years.
